Welcome to Sciroccophoto

Sciroccophoto is the work of photographer Rick Steele. My specialty is shooting performance events of Sight Hounds. What drew me to this specialization was our introduction several years ago to a new American Breed of Sight Hound called Silken Windhounds.

We have our own Kennel "Scirocco Silken Windhounds" Our hounds are kept in a home environment and we do breedings occasionally usually every two years. We show our hounds, and also enter them into all of the performance events (Straight Racing, Oval Racing and Lure Coursing) we're able to attend. All of our adult hounds are Straight Racing Champions. Most are all Show Champions as well

Watching Sight Hounds race is incredible, but what can be captured on a high frame per second Pro Digital SLR is amazing. One can view and experience the natural and beautiful stride that all the Sight Hound breeds demonstrate.
